30 day blog journal - Day one

Day one of the blog journal -
My favorite song... Well - I think there are two types of songs. Songs that you enjoy hearing on the radio - the song you know all the words to, the song you sing along with at the top of your lungs, and then there is the song that really means something to you. The song that almost brings you to tears every time you hear it. So I am going to tell about about both of those songs:
My favorite sing along in the car song is "Shake It" by Metro Station. I love how upbeat the song is, and I love that everytime it comes on the radio my kids sing "Shake it"! It is a fun song and makes me smile everytime I hear it.

Now, my tear jearker song...is "God Blessed the Broken Roads" by Rascal Flatts. This song has a lot of meaning for me - I think about this song every time I think about Paul and I and our story of how we got to each other.  Here are the lyrics:
I set out on a narrow way many years ago
Hoping I would find true love along the broken road
But I got lost a time or two
Wiped my brow and kept pushing through
I couldn't see how every sign pointed straight to you

[Chorus:]
Every long lost dream led me to where you are
Others who broke my heart they were like Northern stars
Pointing me on my way into your loving arms
This much I know is true
That God blessed the broken road
That led me straight to you

I think about the years I spent just passing through
I'd like to have the time I lost and give it back to you
But you just smile and take my hand
You've been there you understand
It's all part of a grander plan that is coming true

Now I'm just rolling home
Into my lover's arms
This much I know is true
That God blessed the broken road
That led me straight to you
That God blessed the broken road
That led me straight to you.

Now my disclaimer: These songs are subject to change at any time!!!
