My hardworkin' man!

I know that I don't express my love and appreciation to my husband enough - so today I want to tell him "Thank you" - thank you for all you do for our family. For working so hard to provide for us and allowing me to stay home with the kids. For being a great example to our children of someone that honors his mother and father, someone who follows through on their commitments, someone who is smart and innovative in his thinking, someone who holds his priesthood sacred and uses it to bless others lives, someone who loves his wife and kids and does his best to bring happiness into their lives. Thank you for giving us a beautiful home to live in, food to eat, cars to drive, and entertainment. Thank you for giving me beautiful children and being a loving and patient daddy to them. I am grateful that you were brought into my life just 5 short years ago - I can't believe how far we've come. I can't believe how lucky I am to have you. I love you so much. LUOSW!

Cakes by, Grandma Honey

My mom has been making "designer" birthday cakes for all the kids' birthdays. They are so cute and taste so good because of all the love she puts into them. Here are a few of the cakes she has made.... p.s. It looks a lot easier than it is!

And below is the cake that Kelsi and I attempted for her birthday. Like I said - my Mom makes it look really easy. I appreciate all the love my Mom shows her Grandkids and am so grateful for all that she has taught me!

8. She is responsible
9. She is crafty
10. She is loving

Spending time with family

I love spending time with my family. This past weekend we had a lot of fun. On Friday night we went downtown to the Brigham Young Historic Park to hear one of our favorite Christian Country bands - Joshua Creek. We packed a picnic lunch of sandwiches, chips, pasta salad, molasses cookies (thanks to my friend Mario Murga for the recipe) and drinks. We set out a blanket and sat and ate, while Carson ran the entire park about 10 times. We were a little worried the weather wasn't going to cooperate because it was an outdoor concert, but the rain held off and we were able to enjoy their concert. Kelsi decided that she was too old to come hang out with us that night, so I guess I will have to get used to this now that she is getting older. The concert was really good and the best part was it was Free! The church is putting on these free concerts all summer long on Tuesday and Friday nights, so this may be something we do again later in the summer. I would definitely recommend it - just make sure you don't pick the strawberries!

Saturday we were able to convince Kelsi to come with us to the air show at Hill Air force Base. We decided to ride Trax because we thought Carson would really enjoy that - since it is a lot like a "train". We rode the Trax to downtown and then got on the Front Runner which took us up to Clearfield, where we then got on a shuttle bus over to the Air force Base. We were a little nervous because neither Paul or I had ridden Front Runner, but UTA did a good job at guiding us around. The air show was REALLY cool! However, there were about a MILLION people there! The weather was really nice too, not too hot, but it didn't rain either. We got to see a lot of cool planes and watched some neat tricks in the sky. The things that those guys can do with an airplane are really amazing. There were also some parachuters and the famous Thunder Birds. We had a really good time, and only got a little sunburned!

I am so lucky to have such a wonderful husband and kids that will go along with my crazy ideas!
