Our Newest Addition

"We can get a dog when Jaedyn is in Kindergarten".....famous last words!

Here is a picture of Mozzie the day we brought him home - and No Jaedyn isn't in Kindgergarten yet!

Here is Mozzie at 10 weeks.

Mozzie is a "Schnorkie" which is part Schnauzer and part Yorkshire Terrier mix. He was born on December 22, 2011. He has been a fun dog to have around, although we are still working on the potty training. I blame our getting a dog on Aunt Michelle. She had us watch Becky and Reese back in December, and Paul noticed how much I enjoyed just having Becky sit on my lap while I petted her. I had been thinking that it would be fun to get a dog, but still had in my mind that we needed to wait until Jaedyn was a little bit older, and I could devout more time to a dog. Paul began the search on KSL.com (curse you KSL.com) and kept showing me different dogs that were on there. We slowly narrowed down which type of dog we would like to get. I wanted a dog that didn't shed, I wanted a smaller dog, I wanted a boy dog, and I did want a puppy - just so that both he and the kids could grown up together knowing each other. Well, after several weeks of searching ksl we found an add for 6 schnorkies - 4 girls, 2 boys. The lady lived up in Logan. I just happend to be going up to Ogden to do a fruit delivery - I just happend to stop by the ladies house to just look, it just happened that he ended up in my car, and now we are dog owners! I hope to be able to be a good dog mommy - I am reading books and trying my best to train him, pay attention to him and also to train the kids around him. I have a feeling that it is going to be quite a lot of work - but it seems that anything I do always ends up being more than I bargained for.

 I think Mozzie will be a great addition to our family - it's fun to see him get so excited when you walk in the door!
