So if any of you know me, you know how much I ABSOLUTLEY love cookbooks! I have a small collection of cookbooks and whenever I see any sort of a cookbook - I get all giddy with excitement! One of my favorite places to find cookbooks is at the DI - because the recipes in the cookbooks are made by real people, just like you and me! I have recently discovered another "series" of cookbooks that have recipes made by REAL people, and what's even better is that these recipes are made by good ol' Mormon Mommies - who we all know are pretty darn yummy cooks! The name of the cookbooks are "Worldwide Ward _____" cookbooks. They have several of them out - the only one I have been fortunate enough to aquire (so far) is the Worldwide Ward Cookbook Mom's Best Recipes - which my sweet hubby got me for Mother's Day last year. There are currently 4 Worldwide Ward Cookbooks out - the newest of which is called "Secret Recipes". I would so love to get this book - and as luck would have it, they are having a contest where one of the prizes is that very cookbook! Cute things I don't want to forget
- Speaking of praying: Jaedyn also starts all her prayers out with "We're dear Heavenly Father"
- Whenever Jaedyn says the prayer it is a looooong sermon. My favorite is when she says "please bless us to have happy faces, and and not frowny faces"
- Carson asked me the other day "Why does Ariya have a british accent?"
- Paul and I asked Carson what he learned about at school one day. He said "pomegranetes" - and then he said "no, wait, what are those things called when you learn what the sounds of the letters are?" We said you mean "Phonograms"? He then thought and said: "Oh yea, I mean we learned about phonograms."
- During church Carson saw a picture of the baby Jesus, Mary & Joseph. He then asked me "Mom, if Mary & Joseph are Jesus' Mom and Dad, then how is Heavenly Father Jesus' dad?". I just told Carson that Joseph was kind of like Jesus' step-dad, that he helped raise him, but that Heavenly Father IS Jesus' dad.
